End of world, or Me. Finised.

This painting was started some time ago, and it evolved in my mind slowly and deeply. It’s extremely personal to me.
First idea was pretty simple, but then it changed, mutated, grew. Such size is always challenging, even more in my small studio. But it has other influence as well. As all bigger paintings, this one too is amazing to create. With a normal size of the canvas your eye touches many things around you, not exactly connected with your idea or emotions. But when you start painting bigger one, like this, there is simply no run away. Nowhere to hide. You are in the painting itself! And there is no rest from your emotions.

I’ve tried to photograph it many times, without success. Those pictures are probably best i can do. I needed to use wide lenses of my camera to capture it as a whole, that is why pictures are distorted. Proper light for the process of photographing was a problem too. Colors in real life look different from what you see on all of those photos.
It’s also hard to notice on those pictures, but bottom part is covered with heavy impasto knife work.

I really love this one. It’s like self-portrait to me.
