Painting horrors fan

Asia is a friend of mine and one of the biggest horror freaks i know! Truly! Think of any horror movie, A, B or C category, old or new, funny or serious - she knows it. It was really great time i spent painting her. Perfect model. Positive, letting artist to do his job, just feeling studio mood.

Painting was done in two sessions. Her doggy was waiting alone in home, so she couldn’t stay too long. At final this came to be advantage, because i could let first session paint dry, and use some glazing on another session. When we finished, Asia promised to pose for another painting, this time something more stylish. I’m really satisfied with colors, in life painting has nice feeling.

Place where i grow up

This piece was painted in January and it shows place where i grow up. I was soooo lucky and had perfect childhood in this huge garden. When i look at kids today i feel a bit pity for them not having opportunity to climb trees, play seek-and-hide. The house in the background was build from the ground by my grandfather. We move out after his death. Now it has new owner, but we still own garden so i could depict my growing up place.

When i was painting there was really cold, paint was getting stiff, and even i had 2 pairs of pants and 2 sweaters it was impossible sit without movement. I needed to put color quickly and boldly. Later, in my studio just few strokes of color were added from memory.
